British Ambassador Fenn Hands Over Letter from Prime Minister Starmer to Prime Minister Shah

Kathmandu: Rob Fenn, Ambassador of the UK to Nepal, presents Prime Minister Balendra Shah a letter of congratulation from Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the UK, during their meeting on April 8. He also said that the UK admires Nepal’s democratic renewal and wants to help conserve the momentum PM Shah has built.

PM Starmer congratulated Shah in the letter on his election as Prime Minister. He also stated that the UK and Nepal enjoy a long-standing friendship with many shared priorities, including growth, climate resilience and security. 

Starmer said that he is pleased that the relationship has evolved, becoming a thriving modern partnership. He is determined that they should deepen this friendship as Nepal enters a new era. This includes further cooperation to deliver our shared security and prosperity interests with a democratic, prosperous and resilient Nepal.

He concluded the letter saying he is immensely proud of the connection between said countries and looks forward to working with Shah on the next chapter in their valued friendship and cooperation.
