Kathmandu: Dr. Surendra Thapa, Charge d’Affaires of the Nepal Embassy in India, welcomed Professor Shiv Shankar Mishra, Vice Chancellor of Maharshi Panini Sanskrit Evam Vedic Vishwavidyalaya, at the Embassy on July 6.
They discussed ways to further strengthen Nepal-India relations through the protection, promotion and advancement of Sanskrit language, Vedic studies and shared civilisational heritage. The discussions also focused on establishing formal institutional mechanisms for student and faculty exchanges, joint research, academic collaboration, seminars, publications and cultural programs between relevant institutions of Nepal and India.
