Kathmandu: Bandana Rana, a member of the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), supported the Government of Vietnam during a CEDAW constructive dialogue mock session held in Ha Long, Vietnam.
The session was led by Nguyen Thi Ha, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, and coordinated with the support of UN Women Vietnam and the OHCHR Asia Regional Office. The programme provided a platform for open dialogue, learning and reflection on Vietnam’s commitments under the CEDAW Convention.
Participants noted the strong engagement and commitment of the Vietnamese delegation to meeting its CEDAW obligations and advancing efforts to eliminate discrimination against women and girls.
