Kathmandu: Dadhiram Bhandari, Consul General of Nepal in New York, extended his sincere congratulations to the Nepali students at Harvard University Massachusetts Institute of Technology for organizing an exemplary, impactful, and forward-looking The Nepal Discourse 2026 (TND ’26) in Boston.
TND ‘26 thoughtfully curated and well-structured agenda, combined with rich and balanced discussions, generated valuable policy and intellectual insights across four key themes: Diaspora, AI and the Future of Work, Next-generation Leadership, and Resilient Institutions. The outcome document, Strategic Insights for 2035, will serve as an important reference as Nepal advances its journey toward economic transformation, including the vision of positioning Nepal as a “cloud-linked” country, as highlighted by Finance Minister, Swarnim Waglé, in his Keynote address to the Conference.

Consul General Bhandari thanked and expressed deepest gratitude to all those who have contributed to make The Nepal Discourse 2026 a resounding success. The event was also attended by lawmaker Pukar Bam and Consul General Bhandari stated to have benefited from his insights, updates and perspectives.
CG Bhandari also said that it was a great opportunity to network and speak with many leaders of our diaspora and members of our student community. That he is thankful to everyone and will be in touch to pursue the issues we discussed and work together in the coming days.

He further states that as a Consul General of Nepal, he tried to engage closely and proactively with the organizing team and participants, and to support this important initiative. He strongly believes The Nepal Discourse 2026 has the potential to evolve into a flagship annual event in Boston, which the Consulate General of Nepal in New York and I personally would be pleased to support, partner with, and promote.
