Chinese Premier Li Congratulates Nepal’s New Prime Minister Shah

Kathmandu: Chinese Premier Li Qiang has extended a congratulatory message to Nepal’s newly appointed Prime Minister Balendra Shah on March 27.
In his message, Premier Li described China and Nepal as traditional neighboring countries connected by mountains and rivers. He noted that since the establishment of diplomatic relations 71 years ago, the two nations have continued to develop bilateral ties based on the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence.
Reaffirming China’s support, Li stated that the Chinese government stands firmly behind Nepal in its governance efforts and will continue to support the country in safeguarding its independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
Premier Li also expressed his willingness to work closely with Prime Minister Shah to advance high-level cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and deepen collaboration across various sectors. He emphasized the importance of further strengthening the long-standing China-Nepal strategic partnership aimed at development, prosperity, and enduring friendship between the two countries.
