Kathmandu: Pratik Karki, Deputy Chief of Mission at Nepal Embassy in Dhaka, and the Minister for Disaster Management and Relief of Bangladesh, H.E. Asadul Habib Dulu, MP inaugurated an ‘Eye Camp’ organized jointly by Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh and with Dr. Salima Diabetic and General Hospital in Lalmonirhat, on September 5.
Speaking as the Guest of Honour, Deputy Chief of Mission, Karki thanked the people and Government of Bangladesh for their support with regard to the recent flash floods in Nepal. Karki further stated that the eye camp, which is expected to benefit around 3000 Bangladeshi nationals, would be instrumental in further strengthening the excellent people-to-people relationship between Nepal and Bangladesh.
A team from Sagarmatha Choudhary Eye Hospital, that includes ophthalmologists and senior eye health workers, is providing comprehensive eye checkups and cataract surgeries to patients in Lalmonirhat during the eye camp.
