Kathmandu: Media representatives, civil society members, legal experts, and youth came together in a dialogue to address the growing threat of misinformation, disinformation, and hate speech.
Misinformation and disinformation undermine public trust and weaken democracy. To confront this challenge, United Nations Nepal, in partnership with ACORAB and UNDP Nepal, convened a dialogue.
The discussion reinforced a shared commitment to fact-based debate, accountability, and inclusive democratic institutions. The event was supported by the Norwegian Embassy in Nepal as part of the wider UN Nepal campaign on misinformation and disinformation.
