Dr. Rasali Nominated as Advisor of Non-Resident Nepali Association

Kathmandu: Dr. Drona Rasali has been nominated for the advisory position of Non-Resident Nepali Association ( NRNA). After being nominated, Dr. Rasali said he will fulfill the responsibility with full commitment, fairness and responsibility. 

Previously, Dr. Rasali served as the NRNA-ICC Americas Regional Coordinator from 2009 to 2011, and as a consultant to the NRNA ICC from 2011 to 2013.

He has been contributing in priority areas such as NRNA’s World Expert Conference, Science and Technology Promotion and Nepal Open University. He said the new responsibility has given him an opportunity to add a new dimension to his previous contribution. Remaining committed to the code of conduct and good governance of the organization, he has also disclosed his current professional and social involvements.

He is an investigator emeritus at the British Columbia Center for Disease Control in Canada and an adjunct professor at the University of British Columbia. In addition, he is a Senior Contributor to the Global Burden of Disease Study at the University of Washington, a Fellow of the American College of Epidemiology, and the Co-Founder and President of the Emotional Wellbeing Institute of Canada.

Dr Rasaili is a founding trustee of the Nepal Foundation for Science and Technology Trust, a trustee of the Association of Nepalese in America and the president of the ‘Global Conference for a Cast-Free World’.

He has said that he will utilize his knowledge, experience and time for the welfare of Nepalis all over the world and for the development of Nepal while remaining dedicated to the vision of NRNA.
