Kathmandu: Lok Bahadur Thapa, the President of United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) recently spoke at an event focused on entrepreneurship and inclusive legal systems, highlighting their importance for women’s development.
During the event, the President emphasized that access to justice, economic empowerment, and digital inclusion are closely linked. According to the statement, progress in one area cannot be achieved without improvements in the others.
The President also stressed that creating more entrepreneurial opportunities for women and youth is essential for achieving sustainable development goals. Collaboration between governments, private companies, civil society, and legal institutions was described as key to making real progress.
Additionally, the importance of building inclusive legal systems alongside fair economic and digital environments was highlighted. The message concluded with a call for stronger coordination and action to turn global commitments into real results.
