ECOSOC President Thapa Attends Women Leaders Forum at LLDC3

Kathmandu: The President of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), Lok Bahadur Thapa, attended the Women Leaders Forum at the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3).

The leaders’ forum was held on the theme “From Commitment to Change: Women Driving the Awaza Programme of Action.”

Speaking at the forum, President Thapa reflected on the global challenges of climate change, economic uncertainty, food insecurity, and conflict.

He further noted that while such issues can be overwhelming, the resilience and conviction of women in communities worldwide offer a powerful example for us to follow.
