Kathmandu: UN ECOSOC President Lok Bahadur Thapa met with Lesly Shica, Minister of Development and Social Inclusion of Peru, to discuss Peru’s strong commitment to inclusive and effective multilateralism.
The meeting covered ECOSOC80, upcoming ECOSOC meetings and forums, and the UN General Assembly’s review of ECOSOC and the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF).
The two also exchanged views on the priorities of the ECOSOC Presidency, including youth employment and entrepreneurship, financial inclusion and investment, digitization and technology transfer, as well as the priority theme of CSocD64.
