ECOSOC President Thapa Meets UNCTAD Secretary-General at LLDC3

Kathmandu: Lok Bahadur Thapa, President of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), met with Rebeca Grynspan, Secretary-General of UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD), on the margins of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3).

The meeting focused on enhancing trade and investment in agri-food systems, improving market access, and boosting productive capacity in LLDCs. They also discussed financing for development (FFD4), the implementation of the Sevilla Commitment, and strengthening collaboration between UNCTAD and ECOSOC.
