EUFF Nepal 2025 Concludes with Full Houses, New Voices, and Celebrated Student Films

Kathmandu: The 14th European Union Film Festival (EUFF) concluded in Kathmandu with a warm closing ceremony that brought together filmmakers, mentors, students, partners, and representatives from various diplomatic institutions. The two-day festival saw impressive public participation, with full-house screenings, over 1,800 filmgoers, and more than 5,000 total visitors.

The event highlighted collaboration among the EU Delegation, British Council, and UNESCO, who jointly hosted workshops, a roundtable discussion on the future of the film industry, and a talk session featuring filmmakers who recently completed a study tour to the UK. Certificates were presented to mentors Sunir Pandey and Sushant Shrestha, and to nine emerging filmmakers who took part in a four-day workshop on pitching, film dossiers, and international funding opportunities.
