Kathmandu: The Ambassador of the European Union (EU), along with Ambassadors from the EU member states (Finland, France, and Germany), met Prime Minister Sushila Karki at Singha Durbar on September 25.
European Union Ambassador Veronique Lorenzo, Finnish Ambassador Petri Puhakka, French Ambassador Virginie Corteval, and Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the German Embassy Benjamin Seidel reaffirmed their support for Nepal’s democracy, rule of law, and human rights, including the holding of free and fair elections.
“We reaffirmed support for Nepal’s democracy, incl. free & fair elections, & economic growth, EU investments & more jobs for Nepalis,” the EU in Nepal stated on social media.
The meeting also discussed strengthening Nepal-EU relations and expanding EU support for Nepal’s development priorities.
