EWPN Programme Shows Impact in Advancing Gender Equality and Inclusive Growth

Kathmandu: The Empowered Women, Prosperous Nepal (EWPN) programme, launched in 2023, is making significant strides in promoting gender equality, women’s empowerment, and inclusive development in Karnali, Sudurpaschim, and Madhesh provinces.

Led jointly by the Government of Nepal, the European Union, and the United Nations Nepal, the programme recently underwent a Result-Oriented Monitoring (RoM) review by an independent expert team to evaluate its sustainability, effectiveness, relevance, and efficiency.

A multi-stakeholder meeting was held to discuss the RoM findings, bringing together representatives from federal and provincial governments, development partners, UN agencies, civil society, the private sector, and local communities.

The review highlighted key progress while identifying ongoing challenges, offering important insights to strengthen institutional frameworks, promote long-term sustainability, and maximize the programme’s impact across the regions.
