Kathmandu: Mr. Ken Shimizu, FAO Representative for Bhutan and Nepal, paid a farewell courtesy call on Hon. Gita Chaudhary, Minister for Agriculture, Forests, and Environment. During the meeting, Mr. Shimizu expressed his sincere appreciation for the Minister’s support, partnership and commitment to advancing Nepal’s agrifood systems, and reaffirmed his continued commitment to supporting Nepal from his new role.
Minister Chaudhary congratulated Representative Shimizu on his new assignment and commended his exemplary leadership during the past five years, highlighting the significant growth and achievements of FAO Nepal under his tenure. She expressed gratitude for FAO’s longstanding support to Nepal and looked forward to continued collaboration in the years ahead.
