Kathmandu: The Foundation for Holistic Development (FHD), in partnership with South Asian University (SAU), inaugurated its first joint academic and community development session at the SAU campus, marking a meaningful step toward advancing holistic education and emotional well-being.
SAU President Prof. (Dr.) K. K. Aggarwal opened the session by highlighting the vital role mothers play in shaping families and contributing to nation-building. He commended FHD for its efforts to strengthen emotional resilience and support the all-round development of young learners.
SAU First Lady Saroj Aggarwal emphasized the shared responsibility of both men and women in raising future generations, noting that balanced partnership is essential for a harmonious and progressive society.
FHD Chairperson Madhuri Sahasrabudhe outlined the agenda of the three-day national executive meeting, which brings together more than 50 participants to discuss emotional support systems, cultural enrichment, and community engagement strategies.
SAU Registrar Dr. Ravindra Kumar Soni welcomed the participants and praised FHD’s ongoing initiatives, including the widely recognized “Mothers on Wheels” movement led by Sahasrabudhe.
Alka Soni further shared FHD’s long-term plans and reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing supportive ecosystems that empower students and families.
The collaboration aims to build a compassionate, collaborative, and academically vibrant environment that promotes holistic growth and community well-being.
