Kathmandu: Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, held a telephone conversation with Ararat Mirzoyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, on August 28.
During the conversation, FM Dr. Rana congratulated Minister Mirzoyan on the initialing of a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, terming it a landmark step towards resolving the decades-long conflict in the region.
The two ministers also exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and reaffirmed their shared commitment to further deepening bilateral ties in the days ahead.
Moreover, Dr. Rana’s conversation with her Armenian counterpart was followed by her recent telephone exchange with Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, during which she had similarly extended congratulations on the peace agreement’s initialing.
