Kathmandu: Hon. Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Juraj Blanar, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, on the margins of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA81).
Foreign Minister Khanal expressed appreciation to the Government and people of Slovakia for their sympathy and solidarity with Nepal following the recent devastating climate disaster.
During the discussions, the two Foreign Ministers expressed satisfaction over the cordial relations between Nepal and Slovakia and discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation. They exchanged views on expanding cooperation in renewable energy, hydropower, tourism, technology and services, as well as in early warning systems and cybersecurity.
The two Foreign Ministers also reaffirmed their shared commitment to strong multilateralism and closer cooperation at the United Nations.
