Kathmandu: Hon. Minister for Foreign Affairs Shisir Khanal paid a courtesy call on H.E. Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of Australia, at Government House in Canberra on October 9.
The Governor-General expressed condolences over the loss of lives caused by the recent Bhote Koshi floods and reaffirmed Australia’s solidarity with Nepal. Hon. Minister Khanal thanked Australia for its condolences, solidarity and continuous support.
The meeting further reaffirmed the longstanding and cordial relations between Nepal and Australia, founded on mutual respect, shared democratic values and strong people-to-people ties.
