Kathmandu: Hon. Minister for Foreign Affairs Shisir Khanal received a telephone call from the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore, Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, on August 31st.
During the call, Minister Balakrishnan conveyed condolences and solidarity with Nepal and commended the prompt and coordinated response of Nepali authorities, and expressed Singapore’s readiness to extend humanitarian assistance based on Nepal’s requirements, including a Disaster Victim Identification team and drone support for ongoing search and relief operations.
Minister Khanal expressed sincere appreciation to Singapore for its solidarity, and shared the ongoing efforts for the search, rescue, relief and recovery, with the continued search for missing persons.
He further expressed his sincere gratitude to the Government and people of Singapore for their valuable support at this difficult time.
