Kathmandu: Hon. Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal received Scott Urbom, US Chargé d’Affaires, and Mike Harker, Public Affairs Chief at the U.S. Embassy, at the Ministry on July 20. They discussed the strength of the US-Nepal relationship and how both countries can build on nearly eight decades of partnership by expanding economic and people-to-people ties.
On the occasion, the Foreign Minister Khanal congratulated Chief Harker on his successful ascent of Mt Everest and commended his remarkable achievement as the first US diplomat to summit the world’s highest peak. Appreciating his contribution to promoting Nepal’s adventure tourism, the Foreign Minister encouraged Harker to continue promoting Nepal as a premier destination for adventure and nature tourism in the US and beyond.
