Kathmandu: Hon. Shisir Khanal, Minister of Foreign Affairs, is leaving for Fiji on 03 October 2026, where Foreign Minister Khanal will lead a Nepali delegation to the Pre-COP Leaders’ event to be held in Fiji and Tuvalu on 5-6 October 2026.
Foreign Minister Khanal will deliver his remarks at the Leaders’ Plenary on 06 October 2026. Prior to the Plenary, the Honorable Minister will attend a media Q and A session with the President of Palau, the Prime Minister of Australia and Fiji.
Following Foreign Minister Khanal participation in the Pre-COP Leaders’ event, the Foreign Minister Khanal will travel to Australia, where he is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with his Australian counterpart, Honorable. Penny Wong on 08 October 2026.
During Minister Khanal visit, he will also participate in separate programmes organised by the Embassy of Nepal in Canberra and the Nepali diaspora in Sydney. Foreign Minister is scheduled to return to Kathmandu on 12 October 2026.
