Kathmandu: Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal visited the Nepali Consulate General office in New York on September 23. Minister Khanal, who is currently in New York to attend the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, visited the Nepali Consulate General where he was briefed by Consul General Dadiram Bhandari.
Information was shared with him regarding the work being done by the Consulate General, service delivery and issues related to the Nepalese community. On the occasion, Minister Khanal took information about the role played by Nepali missions abroad in promoting Nepal’s national interests, providing essential consular services to Nepali citizens and expanding economic, social and cultural relations with Nepal.
The officials participating in the program also informed him about the activities of the Consulate General, the upcoming work plan and how to make service delivery more effective. Minister Khanal emphasized the necessary coordination and cooperation to provide convenient and effective services to Nepali citizens and to be continuously active in promoting the national interests of Nepal.
