Kathmandu: Mishal Mohammed Ali Alansari, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Nepal, paid a courtesy call on Minister for Foreign Affairs, Bala Nanda Sharma, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on February 23.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the upcoming election in Nepal. They also recalled the recent visit of a Qatari business delegation to Kathmandu, highlighting its significance in enhancing economic engagement between the two countries.
The discussions covered a range of areas of bilateral cooperation, including labour migration, economic partnership, and cultural collaboration. Both sides reiterated their commitment to further strengthening ties and expanding cooperation in mutually beneficial sectors.
Foreign Minister Sharma expressed his appreciation for the continued goodwill and support extended by the Government of Qatar. He also thanked Ambassador Alansari for facilitating constructive engagements between the two countries at both the governmental and people-to-people levels.
