Kathmandu: Foreign Secretary Amrit Rai delivered opening remarks at a High-level Meeting on “Forging Ambitious Global Partnerships for Sustainable and Resilient Graduation of Least Developed Countries” held on December 2 in Doha, Qatar.
Speaking in his capacity as Chair of the Global Coordination Bureau of LDCs, Rai highlighted the persistent challenges faced by Least Developed Countries, including structural barriers, limited market access, widening digital divides, resource constraints and growing climate-related impacts.
He emphasized the need for stronger global solidarity and enhanced international partnerships to support LDCs in achieving smooth, sustained and irreversible graduation from the category.
