Kathmandu: Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai today received a Graduation Readiness Assessment Team from the United Nations Office of the High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, the two sides held fruitful discussions on issues related to Nepal’s preparedness for graduation from the Least Developed Country (LDC) category, scheduled for November 2026.
The UN-OHRLLS team was led by Nirupam Dev Nath, Programme Management Officer at UN-OHRLLS. The discussions focused on assessing Nepal’s readiness and the necessary support measures to ensure a smooth and sustainable transition following graduation.
