Kathmandu: A delegation from the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) met with Md. Golam Sarwar, Secretary General of SAARC, on December 22 at the SAARC Secretariat.
The GAIN delegation included Khondaker Mostan Hossain, Senior Advisor; Dr. Ashek Mahfuz, Portfolio Lead for Fortification and Value Chain; and Dr. Rudaba Khondker, Country Director for Bangladesh. Officials from the SAARC Secretariat, including Tanvir Ahmad Torophder, Director (ARD & SDF); Shahiya Ali Manik, Director (SA); and Waseem Shahzad, Director (ETS), were also present.
During the meeting, the GAIN delegation briefed the Secretary General on its ongoing activities and upcoming projects.
