Germany Supports Rehabilitation of Dhulikhel Water Project

KATHMANDU: The Embassy of Germany, in collaboration with GIZ Nepal and Dhulikhel Municipality, launched the rehabilitation of the Dhulikhel Water Project, which was damaged during the September 2024 floods.

Dr. Michael Koch, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Nepal, took part in the groundbreaking ceremony held on June 4.

The Dhulikhel Water Project, a community-led initiative supported by Germany since 1990, is recognized as a model of sustainable water management. The rehabilitation aims to restore and strengthen the system for long-term community benefit.
