Kathmandu: Minister of Health and Population Dr. Sudha Sharma Gautam held a meeting with the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Nepal, Ruwanthi Delpitiya on December 1.
During the meeting, Ambassador Delpitiya briefed the minister on the severe damage caused by recent floods in Sri Lanka following Cyclone Ditwah. She thanked the Government of Nepal for the support provided so far and requested additional assistance.
Minister Gautam expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and property in Sri Lanka and extended condolences to the Sri Lankan government and people. She also assured that Nepal would take the initiative to provide further health supplies and other necessary support during this disaster.
