Kathmandu: A meeting of the High-Level Organising Committee formed to prepare for the 12th Global Conference (GC) and International General Assembly (IGA) of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) was held today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal.
The committee is chaired by Foreign Minister Bala Nanda Sharma. The conference and assembly are scheduled to take place from March 14 to 16, 2026.
Addressing the meeting, Minister Sharma highlighted the importance of the knowledge, skills and capital of Non-Resident Nepalis (NRNs) in supporting Nepal’s development and expressed his best wishes for the successful organization of the upcoming events.
During the meeting, participants discussed key issues related to the preparation and procedural aspects of organizing the conference and the general assembly.
The meeting was attended by Member of the National Planning Commission Suniti Shrestha Hada, Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies Madhu Sudan Burlakoti, Secretary of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Parashwar Dhungana, and NRNA Presidents Badri KC and Mahesh Kumar Shrestha, among others.
