Kathmandu: Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Mr Balendra Shah is leaving for New York on 22 September 2026, leading a Nepali delegation to the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). The Prime Minister will address the General Debate of the session on 24 September 2026.
During his stay in New York, the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold a meeting with the United Nations Secretary General Mr Antonio Guterres.
Separately, Honorable Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr Shisir Khanal will be leaving for New York on 20 September 2026 to participate in various high-level meetings, side events and ministerial-level engagements. He will also hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts and other dignitaries.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal, Nepali delegation comprises of Honorable Minister for Foreign Affairs, Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister Mr Kumar Byanjankar, Foreign Secretary Mr Amrit Bahadur Rai and other senior officials of the Government of Nepal.
Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu on September 26.
