Kathmandu: The Embassy of India in Nepal celebrated the 61st ITEC Day with the participation of ITEC alumni and distinguished guests. Ram Baran Yadav, former President of Nepal, graced the event as the Chief Guest.
Over the past 15 years, India’s ITEC programme has trained more than 200,000 personnel worldwide, including over 3,500 from Nepal, strengthening capacity building and development cooperation between the two countries.
In his remarks, Ambassador Naveen Srivastava emphasized India’s commitment to expand the ITEC initiative and introduce more programmes aligned with Nepal’s evolving priorities. Several ITEC alumni also shared their experiences, highlighting the positive impact of the programme on enhancing skills and knowledge.
The celebration featured cultural performances, including Sattriya cum Dasa Avatar Dance and Folk Fusion Instrumental, by the Nataraj Gosthi group from Assam, supported by ICCR.
