India Celebrates 78th Indian Army Day in Kathmandu

Kathmandu: The Embassy of India in Kathmandu organized a special event on January 22, to mark the 78th Indian Army Day. The program highlighted the long-standing military ties and friendship between Nepal and India.
General Ashok Raj Sigdel, Chief of Army Staff of the Nepali Army and Honorary General of the Indian Army, graced the occasion as the chief guest. On the occasion, General Sigdel conveyed his congratulations and best wishes to the Indian Army, acknowledging its service and dedication.


Speaking at the event, Dr. Rakesh Pandey, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of India in Kathmandu appreciated and recognized the invaluable contribution of the brave Gorkha soldiers serving in the Indian Army. The the Chargé d’Affaires highlighted their historic role in strengthening the friendship, trust, and close people-to-people ties between Nepal and India.
