India Clinches ICC T20 World Cup Title with Dominant Win Over New Zealand

Kathmandu: India lifted the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup title after a commanding 96-run victory over New Zealand national cricket team in the final on March 8. The triumph marked a memorable performance by the India national cricket team, who dominated both with bat and ball in the championship clash.
Batting first, India posted a formidable total of 255 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs, putting New Zealand under immediate pressure.

The innings was powered by an explosive knock from Sanju Samson, who scored 89 runs off 46 balls, while Ishan Kishan provided a quick start with 54 runs from 25 deliveries.
Chasing the massive target, New Zealand struggled against India’s disciplined bowling attack. The Kiwi side was bowled out for 159 runs in 19 overs, falling well short of the required total.
India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah led the bowling attack with an outstanding spell, taking four wickets for 15 runs in four overs. Spinner Axar Patel also played a key role, claiming three wickets for 27 runs, helping dismantle New Zealand’s batting lineup.
