Kathmandu: The fourth tranche of election-related assistance from the Government of India was handed over to the Government of Nepal at a ceremony held in Birgunj on March 1.
The assistance was formally presented by Consul General Devi Sahai Meena to Bhola Dahal, Chief District Officer of Parsa district.
The fourth tranche includes 30 one-ton trucks and other supplies, provided in response to Nepal’s request to support preparations for the upcoming elections.
Speaking at the event, CDO Dahal expressed gratitude to the Government of India for the timely support.
Earlier, the first three tranches of election assistance, comprising over 580 vehicles and other materials—had already been handed over to Nepal.
Officials said the continued cooperation reflects the strong development partnership and longstanding friendship between the two neighboring countries.
