Kathmandu: H.E. Naveen Srivastava, Ambassador of India to Nepal, met with Rajendra Dawadi, Principal of Tribhuvan Trishuli Secondary School in Nuwakot. The Principal’s timely action saved the lives of more than 1600 school children just before the school was swept away in the Rasuwa flash flood.
The school was set up in the 1950s and designed by an Indian engineer, involved in construction of Trishuli Hydropower plant, built with India’s assistance. The new building of this school was built through the HICDP programme with India’s grant in 2022.
Ambassador Srivastava conveyed to Principal Dawadi that the Indian Embassy will support the reconstruction of the school in the future.
