Kathmandu: General Dhiraj Seth, Chief of the Army Staff of Indian Army, visited the Army Command and Staff College, Shivapuri, on 18 August 2026. During the visit, general Dhiraj Seth was briefed on various activities of the College and had an interaction with student officers of Command and Staff Training.
The training, aimed to enhance the staff and leadership capabilities of mid-level officers, is currently being attended by a total of 92 student officers, including 82 Nepali and 10 foreign officers. The College, established on 29 December 1992 has so far trained a total of 1,507 officers, comprising 1,308 from the Nepali Army, 17 from Nepal Police, 29 from the Armed Police Force, Nepal, 20 from the National Investigation Department, 1 from the Ministry of Defence, and 132 from various friendly countries.
