Kathmandu: On the auspicious occasion of Ashadha Purnima, the Embassy of India in Kathmandu organized a prayer ceremony that witnessed participation by monks and scholars from the Theravada, Mahayana, and Vajrayana traditions from monasteries across Nepal.
The sacred chants and prayers honoured Lord Buddha’s first sermon delivered at Sarnath. The deep spiritual and cultural ties between Nepal and India were also highlighted in the remarks made by venerable monks.
