Kathmandu: A 15-member delegation from the National Defence College (NDC), New Delhi, arrived in Nepal on August 31 for a five-day official visit aimed at enhancing defence cooperation between the two countries.
The delegation was warmly received at Tribhuvan International Airport by the Defence Attaché of India to Nepal. On arrival, the officers interacted with senior officials of the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu.
As part of their visit, the delegation held a meeting with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of the Nepal Army, Gen. Ashok Raj Sigdel. The discussions focused on strengthening the longstanding defence ties between Nepal and India, with particular emphasis on institutional cooperation and Army-to-Army engagements.
The visit by the NDC delegation reflects the deep-rooted military cooperation between the two neighbors, which share historical bonds of trust, friendship, and mutual support.
