Kathmandu: JICA Alumni Association of Nepal (JAAN) received two JICA Volunteers (JOCV) for the Home Stay Program at JAAN members’ homes. These two volunteers will be assigned to Kavre and Sindhuli for two years.
Since the program’s launch in 1970, to date, the JICA Volunteer Program has brought 1,468 volunteers to Nepal, supporting the nation’s development through a spirit of learning, partnership, and service in various fields. At present, there are a total of 19 Japanese Volunteers in Nepal working in various districts and fields.
JICA Alumni Association of Nepal (JAAN) is an organization established by Nepali trainees and students who obtained various trainings and academic education under JICA program in Japan. The organization has several hundreds of active and non-active members associated with it.
