Japan to Digitalize Japanese Language Education at the Tribhuvan University

Kathmandu: The grant contract for the Project for the Improvement of Japanese Language Classrooms at the Campus of International Languages was signed at Tribhuvan University between Maeda Toru, the Ambassador of the Embassy of Japan, and Amira Dalli, President of Love Green Nepal. The ceremony was witnessed by Vice-Chancellor, Deepak Aryal, on March 25.

This project is funded via Japan’s Grant Assistance for Cultural Grassroots Projects (GCGP) with a total grant of USD 64,885 (approx. NPR 9.3 million).

Marking the 70th Anniversary of Japan-Nepal Diplomatic Relations, this project will replace old equipment with state-of-the-art Electronic Smart Boards and renovated facilities. The Embassy of Japan believes this ‘Smart Classroom’ initiative will empower Nepal’s future leaders and further deepen the longstanding cultural and academic ties between our two nations.
