Japan Visit Was Fruitful For the Country – Foreign Minister Dr. Deuba

"During this visit, various issues of Nepal-Japan relations as well as Japan's cooperation and projects in Nepal were discussed," Foreign Minister Dr. Deuba shares.

Kathmandu: Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba has said that her recently completed five-day visit to Japan was fruitful. After returning home last night after completing her visit, Minister Dr. Deuba informed that she held various important meetings with the Japanese Foreign Minister and discussed Nepal-Japan cooperation and various projects, and informed that those meetings were fruitful for the country.

Minister Dr. Deuba further said, “During this visit, various issues of Nepal-Japan relations as well as Japan’s cooperation and projects in Nepal were discussed. Similarly, the conference also provided an opportunity to learn about the policies adopted by other countries regarding senior citizens, the conditions there, and the arrangements there.”

A bilateral meeting was held between Foreign Minister Dr. Deuba and Japanese Foreign Minister Iwaya Takeshi in Tokyo on May 20. He informed that during that meeting, various issues of Nepal-Japan bilateral relations, mutual interests, and common concerns were discussed.

Similarly, Minister Dr. Deuba also met with Dr. Tanaka Akihiko, President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency, JICA, on 21st May. During the meeting, Minister Dr. Deuba expressed his gratitude for the long-standing support provided by the Japanese government through JICA in various sectors of Nepal’s economy and society, and discussed the projects implemented and completed in Nepal with the support of JICA.
