Japanese Ambassador Maeda calls on CM Karki

Biratnagar: Japanese Ambassador to Nepal, Maeda Toru, has called on Chief Minister of Koshi Province, Hikmat Kumar Karki. 

Ambassador Maeda met CM Karki at the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers on August 28, 2025. They discussed the issues of mutual interest and Nepal-Japan relations, according to Rabi Khanal, public relation advisor to CM.

CM Karki said the relations between Nepal and Japan are historical and cordial. Japan has played a significant role in Nepal’s infrastructure development. He requested the Japanese Ambassador to extend support to Koshi Province for agriculture, information technology and tourism.

On the occasion, Ambassador Maeda informed that Japan was keen in extension of support to Nepal for its industrial and agricultural development. He observed that Japan and Nepal have been enjoying harmonious relations.
