Kathmandu: Shimada Tomoaki, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, observed voting at several polling centres across the Kathmandu Valley on March 5.
Shimada is visiting Nepal as part of Japan’s Election Observer Mission to monitor the House of Representatives election. He is also scheduled to observe the ballot counting process later in the evening.
Japan has been participating in international observation efforts to support democratic processes in Nepal.
