Kathmandu: Japan’s Parliamentary Vice Foreign Minister for Foreign Affairs, Akiko Ikuina, expressed her commitment to further deepen Japan-Nepal relations during Nepal’s National Day celebration held at the Osaka Expo Hall on July 28.
Speaking as the chief guest, Minister Ikuina called for close cooperation to mark the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries next year. She also thanked Nepal for inviting Japan to the Sagarmatha Sambad, the first international climate change dialogue hosted by Nepal in May.
Minister Ikuina praised the Sagarmatha Sambad for sending a strong message about climate change and described Nepal as a beautiful and friendly country. She emphasized Japan’s continued friendship and reliability as a partner.
The event was organized by the Embassy of Nepal in Tokyo. Dr. Ram Prasad Ghimire, Secretary at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, attended the ceremony on behalf of the Government of Nepal. Nepali Ambassador to Japan, Dr. Durga Bahadur Subedi, thanked all attendees for their participation
