Kathmandu: The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nepal hosted a Korean Food Festival at the Ambassador’s residence, bringing together Nepali returnees from Korea and Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) alumni to share memories of Korea through authentic Korean cuisine.
In his congratulatory remarks, Ambassador Taeyoung Park highlighted the festival as a meaningful opportunity for participants to relive their experiences in Korea and share the country’s rich food culture with family and friends. He also noted the growing popularity of K-culture in Nepal, including K-Pop, K-dramas, and K-Food, emphasizing that such exchanges strengthen cultural ties between the two nations.
The event was part of the Korean government’s returnee workers’ reintegration program, following the K-Food Entrepreneurship Training Program held in Kathmandu in August. Korea reaffirmed its commitment to support a sustainable start-up ecosystem for Nepali youth, helping create jobs and contribute to Nepal’s economy.
Around 35 participants, including Embassy staff, attended the celebration.
