Kathmandu: The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nepal, Tae-Young Park, attended the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Korea Association of Travel Agents (KATA) and the Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) on December 15.

Under the MoU, TAAN will cooperate to ensure safe travel for Korean visitors to Nepal, while KATA will work on developing measures to increase the number of Nepali travelers to the Republic of Korea.

In his congratulatory remarks, Ambassador Park highlighted tourism and the Employment Permit System (EPS) as two important pillars of people-to-people exchanges between Korea and Nepal. He expressed hope that the MoU would contribute to enhancing travel safety for Korean tourists and further promote two-way tourism between the two countries.
