Kathmandu University and Norwegian University of Science and Technology Signs Strategic Partnership Agreement

Kathmandu: Kathmandu University (KU) and Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) have formalized a new Strategic Partnership Agreement, building on their 2022 MoU and over three decades of collaboration in academic excellence, research, and innovation. The agreement was formalized aimed at strengthening long-standing academic, research, and innovation collaboration between the two institutions.

According to KU, the strategic partnership between KU and NTNU seeks to deepen scientific and technological cooperation while promoting joint research, education, and knowledge exchange that benefits both Nepal and Norway. The collaboration will support student and faculty mobility, the development of joint academic programs, and collaborative research initiatives designed to address global and regional challenges.

Under the partnership framework, KU and NTNU will establish governance mechanisms, including a Strategic Partnership Board and an Operational Management Group, to guide the implementation of joint activities and ensure effective coordination.

This agreement marks an important milestone in KU’s international engagement efforts and reinforces the shared commitment of both universities to advancing knowledge, innovation, and sustainable development through global academic collaboration.
