Kathmandu: The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nepal, Taeyoung Park, met with the KOICA Project Survey Team on September 8 to discuss the upcoming project “Climate-Resilient Rice Production and Productivity Increase in the Terai Region, Nepal (2026–2031).”
With an investment of USD 12 million, the project aims to boost Nepal’s food security by improving rice productivity, introducing climate-resilient practices, disseminating improved rice varieties, and strengthening post-harvest processing systems.
The KOICA Survey Team, comprising experts from various fields, also visited project sites to assess local needs, consult with all three tiers of government, and engage with residents and institutions to refine implementation plans.
